Journalism Library status

The Journalism Library continues to be closed as construction remains ongoing at the Graduate School of Journalism. At present, we hope to reopen in early October.

The Journalism Library collection can currently be found in its entirety at Lehman Library. The circulating Journalism collection and books from the reference shelf are shelved separately from Lehman's collection, in the Lehman sorting area, and the CLIO location reflects this. Current Journalism Master's projects and theses are kept at Lehman's reserve desk, as is Journalism Reserves, and periodicals and newspapers received by the Journalism Library. CLIO locations have also been modified for these materials.

Items that have circulated from Journalism's regular collection may be returned to other campus library (Butler Library being the closest one), and should be sent back to Lehman Circulation. Journalism Reserves items circulate from Lehman Reserves, and should be returned there.

Deborah Wassertzug, the Journalism Librarian, is temporarily housed in 309A Butler Library, and can be reached there by phone at 4-5477.

The new Journalism Library will be part of the new student center, opening this Fall. Please visit the Journalism School's homepage for construction updates: http://www.journalism.columbia.edu/
