New Doors for Avery Library

Please note that the doors at Avery Library's main entrance will be replaced this summer, in a project expected to begin May 19 and conclude June 22. The replacement doors are required by fire safety codes; the original doors will be stored in Art Properties.

Although our Summer hours will be unaffected, we anticipate considerable noise disruption at various times throughout the period, affecting in particular the Library's 300 level study areas. Temporary doors will be installed to allow ingress/egress for the first two weeks. Thereafter, patrons and staff will be asked to use an alternative entrance (more information will be forthcoming).

*A security guard will check all bags for library items as patrons exit. Patrons not wishing to have their bags checked by a security guard are requested not to bring them into the library.*

We apologize in advance for the inconvenience caused by this essential work. Please address inquiries to either myself or Associate Director Kitty Chibnik.
