LSO September Training Clinics

The Library Systems Office(LSO) would like to invite you to join us for our “Training Clinics”. These Clinics will have a theme. The Clinics will also depend on what people want to learn, with an open Q and A allowing Library staff to ask all technical questions they may have. All Library staff is welcome to join. Please RSVP by email at lso-userserv@columbia.edu .Seating is limited but walk-ins are welcome if seats are available. Clinics will run about hour.

Monday September 11th at 2pm 306 Butler
Trainer: Terry Culkin
Firefox - LSO will be retiring Netscape and encourages all to use Firefox. This session will give a brief overview of Firefox web browser and explain it’s customizable interface and other features. After a brief overview the floor will be open for questions on Firefox and then open questions. RSVP - lso-userserv@columbia.edu

Fun with Google - We all know Google, but how do you really find something buried on the web? This session takes you on the Google journey using different operators in advance searching. Plus an overview of useful Google related products. After the overview the floor will be open for questions. RSVP - lso-userserv@columbia.edu
