University Senate Opposes Resolution to Return ROTC to Columbia
After a lengthy debate, the Columbia University Senate voted today
against a resolution to establish a Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
program at Columbia. Due to the substantive nature of the resolution, a
record vote involving a written and signed ballot was taken, resulting in
54 votes opposed to the resolution, 11 in favor, and 4 abstentions.
